Inclusion criteria
An organization was included when it met all core criteria below.
- Non-state operation: the organization had to be privately or civil-society operated. Public funding did not lead to exclusion, provided the organization was not itself a state agency or directly state controlled.
- Male-focused purpose: the organization had to explicitly address men and/or boys, male-specific topics, or a clearly defined male-focused program, unit, or service.
- Organizational scale: at least three permanent members, staff, board members, or equivalent core contributors had to be publicly identifiable. This threshold is a pragmatic way to distinguish organizations from single-person projects; it is not proposed as an official or theoretical minimum size for the field.
- Current activity: there had to be credible evidence of relevant activity within the previous 12 months, usually through website updates, events, social-media activity, reports, programs, or other public traces. Data collection period: March 23–May 3, 2026.
